Since we're finding out about all sorts of shortcuts....does anyone know if you can return to the same page you are on when using the Wildlife Guide without clicking through each page of "older" listings? We get so tired of clicking back and fro every time especially when we sprinkle from page four or five ... We do make some tabs of the promising gardens but we still have to click back to where we were to continue sprinkling...
We had a fluke/glitch situation with my Ipad a few days ago and for about 10 mins here and there we could return to the page we were on after sprinkling a listed garden ...which has made us realize it must be possible somehow...
We use a Macbook Air, an Iphone, and Ipad and an Android tablet to play.... it's never happened before or after...

open the garden you want to go to in a new tab, that will keep the wildlife guide tab open to the page you are on

Hold left ctrl and left click, will auto open in a new tab.

Thanks Lisa and Jordan but does anyone know how to do it on a mac please? I'm so happy to know there IS a way to do it...I'm just not very accomplished on a computer... I open a new tab and go to the Wildlife Guide but when I open a garden and use the back arrow to return to the Guide I have to start all over again at page 1... If I'm already IN a tab to open the WG how do I then open a garden in a new one please?

On a mac the key to hold down while left clicking is "command"

Hold down the "command" key and left click on the garden link, it will open it in a new tab. If you would like it to take you immediately to the new tab (if you like to open multiple gardens at once then view them like I do this is not for you), hold "command" AND "shift" while you left click the link and it will open the garden in a new tab and take you directly to it, when you are done just click back over and you will be right back where you were.

Rona, I am on a Mac as well, and I have struggled with this. I go 6 pages back, water, go back and I am on page 1. But sometimes, usually late at night US time, if I water a page 6 garden then go back, I land on page 6. No rhyme or reason.

OMGosh Jordan!!! THANKS SO MUCH!! I don't have a left and right click but I just tried it by holding down command and shift Benni and clicked on the garden and it WORKED!! Oh my gosh...all these 8 years I hadn't realized there was any other way to do it and I use the WG tons but it's driven me crazy and taken hours of scrolling!! Truly thanks! It even saves the garden you just went to if you go back to the guide link rather than x out of the garden you just opened to sprinkle... Had it not happened quite by accident the other night I would never have thought to ask!! Good Luck Benni....

Trying to make tabs of gardens ready to attract from the WG has always been the biggest pain and often by the time we've saved a few we've missed the critter!! Like Benni we would open a garden to sprinkle, save it by opening a new tab with the "add new tab" cross on the right of the tab and that would take us back to the desktop where we'd click on our garden and then the WG then the critter section then the particular critter then back to page 1 ...and repeat it all over again.. It was often best just not to save any tabs and hope we remembered the garden or wrote it down on a piece of paper!! We thought EVERYONE did this!! LOL

Anyway to do this on an IPhone?

If you want this on the Iphone you shouldn't tap on the link, but select and hold it till a menu appear and select the open in new tab from the menu.
