No, they aren't.

To get the Valentine's rose, you need the empty vase that the Love Flower comes in.  When you then spot a Cupid Mouse in another garden, it will plant the rose for you.

No, they are not the same Caroline.  To get a valentine rose, you must remove the love flower from it's vase and leave it empty in your garden.  To plant a valentine rose in it, you must spot a cupid mouse in another garden. He will plant it for you. Good Luck  :-)

how is it that some people have 6 vases????  I did the 5, got my two and tried to do it again...got 5 more and got this reading, Valentines Challenge
Successfully Completed!   why wasnt theirs completed at just two as mine was?  playing favorites?  or is this a "glitch"  and it was within the time frame...

You can have as many vases as you like - they are in the Limited Edition section of the seed shop once you unlock them, as the message when you complete the challenge tells you.

i just saw that... is it only released to give you as many as you like after  you first finish the quest?  or after its over anyone can now get them free?  If so.. can you release the others?

Avery, the news page states, "I have a little challenge for you, and if you can complete it successfully, I'll reward you with 2 Topiary seeds and these beautiful new Limited Edition pots (which "inflate" as flowers grow in them!)".  The pots are specifically rewards for doing the quest -- someone who hasn't done it can't even see them in the shop, much less get them.
