I totally missed the frog breeding. Was busy finishing the butterfly and fairytale challenges... So, I have no idea at all how it works! I have spotted 5 land frogs, 1 pond frog, 4 tadpoles and 4 froglets. I had an adult frog visit my garden one time when I was attracting fairies, so I've had no frogspawn.

What can I do now? Do I have to spot more pond frogs in order to get some frogspawn in my garden, or can I still get a frog to visit because I've had no frogspawn yet?

Thanks in advance for any clarification you might be able to give me :)

For every complete set of frog breeders you spot in other ponds (tadpole, froglet & UW Frog)  you can attract one land frog to your land garden.   The 1st, 5th, 10th and so on land frog will drop spawn on an empty plate/table.      So you would need to attract your 5th land frog to get it to drop the frogspawn.   :)

Thank you. So if I spot one more pond frog, I then attract 4 more adult frogs in my garden and I will get some frogspawn?

... you need a total of 5 complete sets.    Spot one more tadpole, one more froglet and 4 more UW frogs!    Then you can attract adult land frogs to your garden and the 5th one will drop the spawn.

You will need to spot four more uw frogs, one more froglet and one more tadpole to get to five complete sets spotted, in order to be able to attract four more land frogs and get spawn.

If your 1st land adult frog visited while you were not prepared (as you were busy doing something else), this is a missed opportunity, as the 1st land frog gives you spawn.
BUT - every 5th, 10th, 15th land adult frog also gives you spawn. Everybody is destined to begin on dry land with frog breeding. So, what you need to do now is spot in OTHER people's gardens - 5 tadpoles, 5 froglets, 5 adult underwater frogs. For EACH SET (set is comprised of tadpole/froglet/UW adult frog) - 1 LAND adult frog will return to your garden.
Before your 5th is destined to visit, do not forget
a) to put out LOW EMPTY PLATE for spawn
b) the type of spawn will be the exact same type of food as used to attract the adult land frogs (regular or organic or super), so if you use organic, make use you attract the last land adult frog with DOUBLE organic.

Once you get spawn, you are equipped to begin the whole cycle - to get really ready for the bottom dwellers. You might want to use the whole first plate of spawn for tadpoles alone. But it's your choice really.

All in all - the logic of frog breeding is like that

for LAND ADULT FROG - look at your back wall.
***** For each threesome of SPOTTED tadpole/froglet/adult UW frogs in OTHER ppl's gardens, ONE adult land frog will return to your garden, while your garden is on dry land.

FOR UW ADULT FROG - look at your garden wall, among critters that you attracted
***** For each pair of tadpole/froglet ATTRACTED to your own garden, ONE UW frog will come to your garden, while underwater.

Ah, thank you! Actually they are proving quite difficult to spot. Normal garden hopping doesn't bring up many pond gardens, and in the advertised sections, so many are frozen for much of the time. I probably should have done this when everyone was doing the frogs :P

Many thanks for your help, Arlene :)
