I really miss our daily chats and putting the world to rights but I don't miss fl as I felt it got to be just too much stress and pressure.

We've had 4" of snow, all gone now, but more on the way apparently.  We nvr get snow before Christmas so it's extremely early.  It sure is cold though.  If you could shut yourself  up in your fridge that'll give you some idea of how cold it is.  Absolutely far too cold for you lol

We have a new puppy 8mths old now a springer cross.  What a live wire lol  Into everything.

Loving it here in Osgodby, it must be the friendliest village we've ever lived in.  Always something going on.  Clubs for everything from knitting and upholstery to yoga and various forms of keep fit.

Oh funny bugger about the PM lol but so very true.

We're all good here, hope you and yours are too.  We've 14 here for Christmas dinner with 5 staying over for Boxing Day breakfast.  So certainly a house full.

All works are finished on the bungalow so it's just a case of hanging pics and stuff which is also nearly done so the place is now feeling like home.  I'll see if I can't get Sal or Si to post on fb the media centre that Mel's made, WOW does it look mega.

As for the royal pomp we had over a week of it.  Everywhere was shut on Monday even supermarkets.

The royal pomp  yes I was saddened by the news that she'd died eventhough I don't consider I'm a royalist but we have 10 days of the memories and sadness, enough is enough.  That said it's just been showing you on TV the parade through Edinburgh, she died at Balmoral, and prior to her coming to London she's being laid in state in Scotland.  Siome moron started gobbing off as the coffin went past and before anyone official could get to him ppl in the crowd dragged him back and he vanished from sight.

A lettuce costibng 6 dollars means nothing to me Glenn as I don't know how much it used to be :)

Sorry to hear about yiou being back in hospital but how did you manage to  get an infection in your leg?  Hope you're soon back home and on the mend.

Cost of living crisis here now, it's going up like it has wings.  Some crazy forecasts have been given for energy prices escalating by thousands per year.  As you are no doubt aware we now have a new PM, shame really as I'm sad to see Boris go.  I feel he did the best he could possibly do with the info he had available to him at the time.

General strikes are now on the horizon, everyone is jumping on the band wagon.  Between 2% and 4% have been offered and it's just not enough Glenn to try and come close to combatting the rise in energy prices.  Ofc the energy companies are making ginormous profits.  They are talking about capping and the government picking up the tab, stuff that I'd be telling them they had to reduce their bills by X% and if they say they want to close up shop I'd say good riddance and nationalise it all again which is a very socialist attitude from a none socialist.

She sure has a diff job, I don't envy her in the slightest.

The fraud squad froze our bank accounts this week telling us that we had X days to get into the bank  to prove our id's else they were closing our accounts :S  We think it happened cos we were lending Si some money

CG at being at the top of the medal table although we are slowly catching up.  That said I expected Canada to have more medals, I'm sure they have had in previous years.

Si is still awaiting results of all the tests.

The bad news is that they'd sold their house, Lawra had given up her job and Charlie's school place.   They can only get a mortgage on Si's salary as the earliest now that Lawra can get employed is the new year.  They left a 4 bed detached and with house prices escalating the best they'll be able to get is a 2 bed semi.  What a bummer !!!!  On the plus side to that with Lawra being out of work they wont have to  pay child minding fees and by the  new year she'll be eligable for 30 free hours per week.  They are trying to keep some of the money back from the profit of the sale of their 4 bed so that in a couple of years they can buy another place and hopefully keep the 2 bed as a rental.

Luke and his partner's baby is due any time now soit looks like I'll be a nanna again, 4 boys and 1 girl.

It has cooled down alot here but it still feels hot and humid, good weather for the farmers as it's harvest time here now.

Well hello "sport billy", don't you dare say you haven't been glued to the TV watching the Commonwealth Games!  I wouldn't believe you anyway if you said you hadn't watched it lol  When I heard it was happening I immediately thought of YOU!!!!

Siemens have sent Si for various tests,  they contacted Quatar for some clarification whereupon Quatar said they didn't know him and hadn't treated him, when Lincoln replied saying the meds had Quatar's name on them they replied saying he must have stolen them !!!!!!!!  Showing receipts he's proved he hasn't stolen them but Quatar are adament they don't know of him so Lincoln have had to start all the tests from scratch rather than carrying on from what Quatar had done.  Si says it's cos they don't want to admit to their being a prob in Quatar.

And ..... I  know you're not a follower but what do you think to England's womens footy team winning the Euro Cup verses Germany no  less !!!!
