I hope you aren't in too much pain with your neck or elsewhere. I had another bout of shingles and had to cancel a procedure that was scheduled. A week ago Friday, my daughter's beloved dog was put down. He had suddenly developed spleen cancer that was spreading. I loved him, too, but she was so close with him. They did a lot together-- he was really a great companion for her. She also started teaching at a new school a few days later. Her other position had been eliminated. I am not able to walk outside still due to the oppressive heat and humidity. What is your weather like? I heard that Europe had unusually high temperatures. Sending you my best wishes, hugs and love. xox

Well, I almost died today.  I took my sister's kayak for a little paddle.  The water was just about glassy calm, so I wasn't afraid.  Unfortunately, i leaned a bit too much looking at a butterfly that was stuck on the surface and found the boat was not as stable with my weight as my own (back home).  It flipped.  Glad I was wearing a life vest.  I clung to it for a half hour while my sister called for help.  I was sure glad to see two guys show up in a motor boat!  Lake Superior is no place to flip a boat.

Hi Eileen, I made a right mess of that last post.  When I read it over I saw that the predictive text had taken over and it didn’t say what I meant it to say.  I tried to copy it to correct it and goodness knows what I did then.  I’ll put it down to old age!!  £220 was bad enough but that was just for the part and his time would have made it so much more.  I’m glad he was a good honest man.  Big hugs xx
