Skimbi talked to me today. Three new things were discovered. He learned that he can jump on the stool and actually sleep on top of it. He found that the dog bed that was Mistys because she never let Fang have it...was also a nice place to sprawl out in the sun in. And...I called his name and he came out from under the one chair where there is another cat bed...stretched...and meowed...got closer and meowed again. Not sure what he was saying...but he enjoyed the rubs and playtime. He is amusing to say the least.
We also took the opportunity to weigh him...just for our records. The vet clinic had weighed but our scales gave a slightly lower reading so will stick with that. Will weigh in another week to see what he weighs then. He is not as calm in the baby scale as Misty was...but he did not struggle...just had to be moving...whether tail or head or a leg. A mover and shaker. Hahahaha.
Continued success with the dinos...I am going to freeze tomorrow after the bellis has become a butterfly. Smell you when I return.

With Misty...and Oliver...Janet and I did reciprocal sitting. So it worked well. She already said that she would look after Skimbi but she is away. I did not want to mention it to her as she would have delayed visiting with her boyfriend...and I did not want to impose. She delayed heading to see him because another neighbour wanted her dog walked. That, I do not think is right. But she hates to say no. This family with the dog...hardly ever walks it. It will not be walked while Janet is away. Then she feels guilty because she is away and the dog is not being walked. She is not paid. She just hates to see the dog in the window pining for a walk. The little boy in the family with the dog apparently dislikes the dog and he is at an age where he could walk it...but does not.

A nightmare with the pension stuff...Kevin figured that he could do it better so I passed it to him...and I stressed...you need to use this particular figure...and he was not listening...he said that he was...but he put in the wrong information and it locked him out. So now I have to try again...and hope that I am not permanently locked out...and if that happens then I will have to call and they will walk me through the unlock process. I am just hoping that my income tax forms were caught up in the mail and that they arrive.
We travelled a fair bit at one time...and we hired teens to care for our cats. These were friends kids. Gave them a lump sum for the days...and if they were agreeable...they did it. Gave them extra spending money. All that they had to do was fill their food dishes, give fresh water and scoop the litter...and stay and play with them for a bit. Our daughter made a fair bit of money in high school looking after pets in the neighbourhood. Two were little dogs from the same household. She would walk and feed them. The next door neighbour said that they never had seen so much attention. She would walk the dogs along with me and our dog. At first she was a stand in because the one kid that cared for the dogs was also away...but the job transferred to her as she gave them more attention. She also had fish to care for for the summer at another home. And a couple cats at another.
Only once did we use the vet clinic...they did boarding...and we had two cats at the time...and they gave them a whole treatment room to themselves. If a weekend, then we would give lots of food and extra water dishes and kitty litter pans...and they were okay. Then our neighbour retired and she cared for Misty when we were away...she never wanted payment...as she wanted a cat but not be tied down. Our daughter used to care for her cat at one time when she went away and after Oliver died, she never got another cat. The dog boarding facility where Fang went also cared for cats but that area was separate.
I completed the two quests...the last silver fox arrived this morning and now just using up the last of the super. Not sure if I will bother doing a birdbath...might be too few visitors and chicks missed. The pots are not particularly pretty this month...

I just realized that I have not gotten my tax form from the government for the pensions that I receive and Kevin got his awhile ago. I looked for my log in to my account and it is not in my official binder of significant stuff. I know that I had one as I had mine long before Kevin did as I wanted to know what I might get per month and decide when to take the pension.
