I think partly it feels like it must be cold for the little guys this time of year.  Not exactly an African savannah around here, lol

Here’s one I wrote back when the Chameleon challenge first came out.  Lots of my friends were doing them but I wasn’t.  So many people were getting upset with each other and/or wanting to quit.  I wrote this to try and lighten things up.

Everyone came here first Margaret as this was the only free country in Europe at the time.  The UK was the staging area for everything that came later.  If he was a bombadier, he would have lost an awful lot of friends as 1,000's of them didn't make it back and I'm pretty sure that at some point he'd have been in Lincolnshire.

At the start of the war there were 10 airfields in the county by the end of the war there were 49, just for bomber planes they covered 2% of the county and as counties go in the UK we're the 2nd largest.

He was a very brave and lucky man Margaret, we all owe him alot because if we hadn't have won things would be an awful lot different and I'd be speaking German for starters.
