Happy Birthday to Brandon.

Had a rather unproductive day - took my walk, fixed brunch, puttered around the house, did laundry, knit two baby caps for the library service project. Jerry grilled ribs ( SO GOOD !) so I just did oven fries and a cucumber salad.

We didn`t make it to visit mum last week,
the day we were going she was sent home.
Planned to go yesterday but hubby and I
were both not feeling well and I spent most
of the day on the sofa, thankfully better
now and have arranged to go tomorrow.
Fingers crossed nothing happens to stop us, spoke to mum yesterday and she seemed
quite perky and glad to be home. She now
has a carer in every morning to help with showering etc. Blood sugar still a little high
but coming down and her heart seems to be
settled again too. Glad to hear your sub zero temps have left, very damp and cold here
all this week, doesn`t inspire you to go out
and about. Havn`t been doing an awful lot
here just the usual yukkies and caught up
with a couple of friends at the weekend. Still
not opened the garden, will get there
eventually but not really in any rush. Hope
you had a good day and hope you enjoyed
that Irish stew you made. Have a good rest of the week and see you again soon xxx

Morning Patricia so very pleased to hear your news you must all be over the moon hearing such good news. Roger is improving slowly some days better than others. He is still not eating much but he is taking the Complan which I think is helping. Thank you for asking love and hugs xxxx

Happy to say my mum is now home and a
care package all sorted which starts today.
She needs help with showering and personal
care, I spoke to her yesterday and she seemed
quite chirpy. Going to go and see her on
Wednesday. It`s been pretty cold here too and like you, havn`t done an awful lot since
Christmas, just pottering and caught up with
a couple of friends. Still havn`t opened my
garden, may wait now until I`ve been to
visit mum. Did you manage to venture out
to the grocery store? Funny we were looking
yesterday and thinking we really need to go
and do a big shop, cupboards here are a little
bare too. Going out for Sunday lunch at 1
with a friend, nothing much else planned but
really need to get some yukkies done
tomorrow. Hope you're enjoying the weekend,
will see you soon xxx

Sorry, I didn't mean to be nosey. Always hard on the father it seems. My oldest daughter went through a divorce many years ago and the father got my granddaughter because he didn't work and my daughter did. They were in and out of court but she finally did get her. Sometime the court system stinks. Daughter had to pay him child support while he had her. Makes me sick to even remember.
Enough of that.
Hope your day is a good one. See you later.
