If the fencing can keep ( Chuck ) the wood chuck out of the area then its a good thing. Neither Stephen or I will harm the wood chuck. So we will continue to try to find ways for him to stay here and still keep him out of our food growing area's. But trust me, he can dig very well. And its an on-going thing. He has lived here for 3 years now. Cute little guy. We also have a bird ( I am not sure what type he is ) but this bird is really odd. He has to climb all over the car, he plays with the mirrors, and the windows ( he actually poops on them ) I clean them daily. This is his second year now. I said to Stephen I wonder if he does this when he goes South for the winter to his second home area ? I call him Birdie. I am not sure its a him but I think the seeing his reflection and acting like he does tends to make me think its a male.
We are getting quite fond of seeing him. He is very busy though doing all his dirty bird deeds. LOL

I am glad to see people standing up, its time. Its a hard thing to do I am sure. And scary for many. I have never seen anything like this in my life time. But I think people in the past have. 

A fruit salad sounds yummy. Its nice to see young people having fun without being disruptive. Its does the heart good to see that.
We have had a good day, but we have been busy some. After supper last night we set to work re-enforcing the fence, I was glad to see no breach this morning or afternoon when we returned from shopping.
I stopped and got some pansy plants for one of the planters to cheer it up. I like pansies. Even though they are annuals they do sometimes self seed.  That is what we were working on after supper here plus a few grow bags to test some potato plants in. We will see how it works out.. just for fun.
I got 3 books today, one at the little library ( free ) and 2 from a second hand store. I am getting a significant pile of books not read yet. I usually get between 1 and 3 a week but I usually only can read 1 .. so getting a bit of a stock pile. I guess if I have some off weeks I will still have lots to read.

Other then that all is good here. We are showing at least 3 days of sunshine here. Not real hot but decent mid temps to be able to work outside in.  I love it ☀️

I think that this is so important today as we live in the world of the information super highway. And as much as I can learn off the internet I can also be misled by the internet. So much of that and now with AI its even more important to seek truth and use wisdom to keep ourselves from falling for a boat load of lies. And it does not seem to matter how outrageous the lies are.. some people just want to and do believe anything the see on the internet as if its gospel.  Odd times we live in.

I have been busy doing weed whacking and watering plants. Picked some rhubarb and got the in the freezer as I slowly gather enough to make into something. Not sure what yet though.
I thing our Groundhog ( or some such critter ) got into the strawberry area. They crawled under the fence in there. We will need to work on re-enforcing that area. Ate some of my plants in one planter and had enough in its belly to lay down some fertilizer. ( I removed it as I hope to get a few berries , won't be many though )
Always something going on here LOL But on the bright side.. the sun is out. Its in the mid 20's and a beautiful breeze. And I am going to take some time to have a coffee and even put on a bit of make up just as a pick me up.

What a nice message to try to keep us on the path of Joy. Its so easy to be distracted by so much happening in the world that it becomes over whelming and steals our Peace from us. We must not allow that to happen. Life is short, and its important to live it with as much happiness as we can muster.

Have you ever made cookies using a cake mix. Today is the first time for me. I am using a chocolate fudge mix and put in some walnuts I had left from the banana bread cookies i made. I tasted one and its quite nice. Soft in the middle and firm on the outside.

Awe.. You know its not right but it is common where the courts give preference over mothers versus fathers.. And the mother can sure make it difficult .. way to many do that.
I never understood how anyone can say they love their child and then hold that same child away from the other parent.  Very sad thing there.

I have had a set back with the lawn mower. It worked for 2 days and today it would not turn over. I googled some of its issues and in all reality the cost of repairing it may be more then its worth. Its now going on 9 years.
So we went to get a new mower after Stephen got home. We are looking at a battery operated one but they have to order it in as its a good seller and they are out of stock. Its on for 700.00 plus tax and there is a deal on it for a free extra battery. I can see why its out of stock. Anyway they are saying the end of the month for it to get in. They will call me. I sure hope so. LOL
If I bought one almost like it without the free battery deal it would be close to 1300.00.
This one will be under 900.00 so its a great bit off.

Anyway.. I will be happy if it comes. Cranking my arm off is not as much fun as the actual yard work itself. LOL

Glad you are getting the counters done. Hard to remember everything though. Good to have good helpers to keep on top of some stuff too.

Good Morning. Its wet out, we had rain over night. And that is good as its been a couple of days and my newly planted seeds needed a drink.  It will clear off and I can get out and do a bit of weeding later. Nothing major, just a few here and there in the strawberry area.

Its good that he is getting 2 estimates. So good to have a good person you can trust to do stuff around the house. Yay
