🌟I have slowly thawed my turkey out in the fridge and this morning I spent some time cutting it up into parts. Having years of meat cutting knowledge in the poultry factory sure helps. LOL But its not very hard anyway. I am keeping the breast part and freezing one leg and one wing per bag for another time. Its ok to do this if there is still ice crystals in the meat and if you do it quickly, not leaving it laying around and when I get the re-frozen parts out for cooking to make sure they are refrigerated immediately. And cooked completely. People have this bad habit of under cooking meat and to not think about cross contamination. So many people get ill on holidays and don't realize it could easily be avoided.
I don't have a lot to do really, organize the veggies all together and make sure the pressies are out and easily accessible. All of that can be done tomorrow morning really.

Hello sweetie. I hope you are resting well. I have been quite busy but enjoying the morning here. I made 2 dozen sugar cookies. I am not going to make more as we have stuff that came in from Stephens mother plus people give us chocolates also. We have a bit of ice cream left from Emily's birthday and fruit so that is enough for now.
We will have the girls back Christmas eve this year. I will make our big dinner that day. I do have a turkey that the company gave Stephen for Christmas. Its in the fridge thawing and will be ready by tomorrow for me to be able to separate some of it as I only have the small oven so will need to work on that.

That sounds like a lovey and fun thing. And 6 for 10 is a bargain for sure.
Stephen's sister is here to visit and exchange pressies and treats. She has her tree in the trunk so I imagine she will fill her afternoon decorating it.
The 2 girls are on the way here to visit their dad. They wanted him to go get them and drive them around like normal but he had to just say no this time.
Anyway it works out as they will come to visit here for a while.

I have been very lucky and have not seen any damage at all. 
I was out and found a new ( to me ) winter coat for 25.55 taxes in.
My brown one I love has the zipper ripped, right down where you put the metal thing in the car.. and to buy a new heavy duty zipper would be about the same as the second hand one I just got. Its blue and is also a down filled coat. It covers my bottom better then the brown one did. That one was more like a bomber style.
Its in remarkably good shape and I am thrilled to get it. Winters here calls for a good coat .

Good Morning , and I am glad to be able to type this to you. It was a powerhouse of a storm. They have been working hard to restore power and its just under 100 thousand people now.
Ours went out and came on a few times and the winds was battering the house something fierce. Its still to dark to see if or how much damage is around.
We will need to take lots of care on the roads as there was a lot of rain with this system. So expect some flooding in areas too.

But we are safe, and the power is on. I am making my second coffee and its good to be able to do that easily.

Its great to have a new look for inside the pantry. Especially if it will be easier to clean. Yay

Awe, just knowing you wish me a Merry Christmas warms my heart.
I will be honored if they take the attention of Baby Opi, LOL
I went out to the area we cut that big tree out of the way for the brush guys and I took 4 hours to move the wood up closer to the road. I worked very slow and had many breaks. I really should have done it over a few nice days but alas... I did not and they are calling for rain and winds tomorrow but I won't even have to think maybe I should move that wood.

We won't start with cutting for real until the new year. But we must have one truck load done so that is 1/10 of the cutting part. Yay

We have some sunshine today and the temperature is plus 5. So that is awesome.
I have not a lot of things to do today. I do want to make some cookies and a banana bread for us for Christmas but I don't want to do that to early. I think Monday will be soon enough.
