Messages Paulette and Sammy ~#152~2 weeks, 4 days agoHaving kind of a rough time sleeping here, due to family sadness. My uncle has been ailing for a while, cancer, strokes, and dementia. My mom's next-to-baby brother (his 90th b/d in June). Had some bad falls, taken to hosp. last week, going into hospice now. Dr. just said today that he may only have another week to live. I can't visit due to my poor immunity. My aunt held the phone to his ear for me last week, I spoke a little Polish to him and sang a hymn in Polish, and seemed to get a reaction. That was his first language, so I figured it might trigger a memory. Hope it did. He didn't even recognize his wife of 59 yrs. most of the time, ripped out g-tube 2x, now seems to be comatose. No one deserves to go through this. Please pray for him and his family, if you are a praying person.
