Yes dry needling....needles haha. Like acupuncture but it's done in the muscles/knots to help relieve tightness/pain etc. It doesn't hurt, just a bit of a sting sometimes until they're in and they stay there for just a little while. xo

I did a step class then went to a follow up physio appt. for my "golfers elbow". I had tendonitis in my arm as well, a few months ago and also the swelling on the inside of my elbow got worse, so i went to the physio to get it checked out. She gave me a lot of exercises to do with my dumbbells as i needed to load the tendons and my elbow, to help them heal. It sounds counter productive but it has worked. I avoided classes with weights and just did what she gave me but now i do the weight classes but make sure my form is good, not just willy nilly like i have been doing and now the tendonitis is pretty much gone and the elbow swelling has gone down but it may always stay there she said, as i did have it so long leading up to this. She massaged again a bit and did some dry needling this time too and gave me another couple of exercises to add to the others. I don't need to go back to her unless it gets worse etc. which is good because today was the 3rd. visit in a couple of months and they "ain't cheap" :) :) xo
