Though it might be worth saying that you told me you wanted a violet one, whereas you now have an indigo one. Are you sure you didn't confuse them?

Round, Square, Crescent:   
small left leaning bud ----- red, green or violet
small right leaning bud ----orange or blue
fat bud  --------------------- yellow or indigo

Loop, Pentagon:
small left leaning bud----- yellow or indigo
small right leaning bud ---red, green or violet
fat bud -------------------- orange or blue

Triangle, Heart:
small left leaning bud: ---- orange or blue
small right leaning bud:---yellow or indigo
fat bud ------------------- red, green or violet

Some charts to help you.
If you get a red critter, you know the candy in position 1 is the right shape
If you get a yellow critter, you know the candy in position 2 is the right shape
If you get a blue critter, you know the candy in position 3 is the right shape

Then you need to find out which colour is right -
orange will tell you the colour in position 1 is right
green will tell you the colour in position 2 is right
indigo will tell you the colour in position 3 is right
