Aww you just do as you like hun ;-) The Shamrock is also seasonal, so it wont be back before next year, when it runs out. You liked doing the scrolls quest, then it's good to do the seasonal when they are here :-)

The Baby Fish? That one needs a birthstone...aquamarine is the correct one. You can only get it by spotting 10 Fish, in other gardens, AND have the birthstone in your garden. You can keep the Zodiac plant, and get a baby. But remember, new Zodiac plants come, this one ran out March 20, so if you harvest the Zodiac plant, you cant get Fish spotted in you garden until next year ;-)

You have to point at the nest with the Cuckoo, and "speak" to it, so it can lay the egg. But maybe you arn't up to playing FL yet ;-)

Hurry and put a nest to build on hun! Every first bird in your garden, helps build a nest ;-) You have a Cuckoo Chick on the way, but you have to speak to it, and it will tell you what you have to do :-)
