As [Am]down the glen one [G]Easter [Em]morn to a [C]city [G]fair rode [Am]I
There [Am]armed lines of [G]marching [Em]men in [C]squadrons [G]passed me [Am]by
No [C]fife did hum, no [G]battle [Em]drum did [C]sound it's [G]lonely [Dm]tattoo
But the [Am]Angelus bell o'er the [G]Liffey's [Em]swell rang out [C]on the [G]Foggy [Am]Dew

Oh it proudly high over Dublin sky they hung out the flag of war
It was better to die beneath the Irish sky than at Suvla or Sud El Bar
And from the plains of Royal Meath strong men came marching through
Oh and Brittania's sons, and their long range guns, sailed into the Foggy Dew

Well, the night it grew black, and the rifle crack made "Perfidious Albion" reel
Through the leaden rain, seven tongues of flame rang out over lines on steel
And to every blade a prayer it was said that to Ireland I amend it be true
when the morning broke still the war flag shook out it's folds in the Foggy Dew

Well it was England bade our Wild Geese go, that small nations might be free
their lonely graves are by Suvla's waves or on the fringes on the Great North Sea
For had they died by Pearse's side or fought with Cathal Brugha
Their names we would keep where the men all sleep, under the shroud of the Foggy Dew

But the bravest fell, and the requiem bell rang mournfully and clear
For those who died that Eastertide in the springtime of the year
And the world it did gaze in deep amaze at those gallant men but true
Who bore the fight that freedom's light might shine through the Foggy Dew

Well back o'er the glen I rode again, and my heart with grief it was sore
I parted then with valiant men who I never shall see no more
And to and fro in my sleep I go, and I'll kneel and I pray for you
Oh slavery fled, O gallant dead when you fell on the Foggy Dew
Oh slavery fled, our glorious dead when you died on the Foggy Dew

Thanks for the interesting explanation/information.   I tend to forget that you speak a different language, because you seem to have English down so well.  New music ... wow.  I've been having some trouble  with my macular degeneration  and the way I see music notes now.  More injections and doctor says things are looking better ... and I am adjusting to changes.    Take care, Michael.

Dear Michael.  You made my day with your newsy message.

Sounds like Andrea has the ideal place to work.  You don't hear so much about those kind of companies who really value their employees.

Our government finally passed a bill that will send everyone a check for $1,200.00, and it does seem like they are trying to ease everything they can.

The toilet tissue craze did not escape us.  The police have been called multiple times for women brawling at WalMart, all for TP.   I have seen that kind of thing on TV,, but when it hits your local store, you realize how prevalent the craziness is.

So sorry your job is so stressful and I do hope your application gets you the new job.  That does seem like a lovely way to earn money.

As for free time ... I have none of that anymore, and at the end of each day, I have earned by bed.

Amy just took the boys for a little hike on her land that used to belong to my Mom and Dad.  It's just a short distance from my house.  So, I am enjoying a bit of quiet time.  J.D. and Trevor NEVER stop talking.

Thanks for writing, Michael.  I miss being in touch in FL.

Take care of yourselves, my
