My s-i-l used to be a psychiatric nurse and she heard the most dreadful things too. I hate to think of the abuse and neglect suffered by some children, it's heartbreaking. With the right help, some people can overcome their past but some never do. It's wonderful what you're doing. I think we should all do what we can to help those who haven't had the best start in life, or those who are struggling now. I volunteer at a Foodbank and know that the people who come for help are not all layabouts who can't be bothered to work, looking for an easy handout. Most of them are working people, families too, maybe on minimum wage and zero hours contracts. Or people who've lost everything through relationship breakdown, redundancy or other change of circumstance beyond their control.

And a yarn bombing group too!

What a worthwhile thing to do, well done for contributing. Do you do it in a group or individually? There are several 'Knit and Natter' groups in my local area, such a good idea. I used to go to a craft group at a local cafe years ago but it stopped during COVID and never started again.

What are you knitting? I used to do a lot of knitting and crochet but mostly slow stitching now.

Yes, pot lottery, vases, too much of the same really. I hope Mike has something really new in mind but a lot of my old FL friends gave up long ago. I'm doing more topiary trails just for something to do.

I did the quests once each last month. Same reason lol Can't say I like this month's either but I'll do the easy and intermediate. TBH I'd rather do slow stitching that play FL at the moment 😢
