There are a few ways to find the Pot ID
They all need you to be on a computer or laptop, if you are on a phone or tablet then just ask some-one on the forums.

Okay, one method is if the pot is in your storage, click on the pot and then right click on USE and a lot of information will come up on the right hand side of the screen. In the highlighted section will be numbers and that is the Pot ID

another method is if the pot is in the garden with something in it, click on the pot and then Right click Water and scroll to INSPECT and the same information will come up on the right side of the screen, the Pot ID will be the numbers in the highlighted section.

To get Bamboo Food first you need a Fully Grown Bamboo plant and an empty plate in your garden. Then you have to spot a black and white critter in another garden that has a Fully Grown Bamboo plant to get bamboo food on your empty plate.
Spotting a panda gives you double organic bamboo, any other black and white critter gives standard organic
