Hi Grace...believe me I hear ya on the heat.  I am struggling over here as well.  I was never one for heat but these temps are killing me.  Having said that yours would have finished me off long ago.  It's the same here grass areas are parched yellow and everything has stopped growing.  Good in some ways not so good in others.  For everything like mosquitoes etc. to have dropped off this year means your temps are exceptionally high.  I am sorry to read about the forest fires.  But that is happening over here to now.  I was actually looking forward to summer this year after such a cold and miserable winter especially for you.  But this heat is just to much for us we can't cope with it.  I don't blame you for not putting food out for the birds after the bear issue.  But pretty sure all life is struggling with this weather.  Stay cool Grace and Nikki to.  Being hot and sweaty is not a good look lol.  xxxxx
