Yes I was a bit shaken up by that cord! Thankfully it’s all taken care of now. Poor Bessie! I bet Zeus would fall off too, when he sleeps he’s really out and might not wake up in time to stop himself from falling off. Did you have a good time volunteering? I spent the day baking. I made morning glory muffins, lemon blueberry muffins, banana chocolate chip muffins and a banana chocolate chip slab cake. I’m pretty happy with myself, I didn’t even burn any!! I made whole orange loaves yesterday and now I don’t have any space in the freezer for any of it. Haha! It was freezing rain this morning and then just rain for a while, the sun was out and it got warm enough to open a few windows and then the thunder started and it rained again. Tomorrow they’re calling for snow. This time of year is so crazy for weather! I can see so many of our solar lights turning on now that the snow has melted down far enough to expose the solar chargers. Spring is just around the corner!

a quiet evening splash and wishing you a restful good night, Kimalisa! Dresden is curled up for the night (after his evening treats), and sends sleepy snuggles to you, and to Bessie. I'm sending Bessie many many ear rubs. another busy day although this one didn't take me far from home. it's the first day of Spring break for Ce and Ellie so Ellie came here for the afternoon. I read, she watched her tablet, and then we sketched together for a bit. earlier a sympathy card for next door was delivered to me (their friend wrote my address on it) so I walked it over, and had a chat with Liz. (it's her mother who died last month. it was sudden, but she was also 88. I will miss having our over the back yard fence visits.) I would like to get my hands on T Kingfisher's other Paladin books, but the librarian told me it may take a while. so, I'm re-reading all my Vera books by Ann Cleeves. sounds like temp-wise you had a lovely day. we got up to 50, and the snow is melting, melting, melting!
