More normal today

It’s still not too bad out but I think it’s time to put the chickens to bed before it gets too cold. I’ll turn their heaters on tonight. I hope you aren’t freezing your toes off! Tuck your feet under Bessie!

a quiet evening splash and wishing you a peaceful good night, Kimalisa! oh! I understand about frozen brains; that's how I've felt since Thanksgiving! (we did get above freezing today, though; 35! yay!) both girls are looking forward to Christmas. they're not going anywhere, but Grandma from Michigan will be here visiting. my shopping is not done. I'm going to the local zoo's gift shop tomorrow, and then on Friday I'm going to my favorite crystal/candle/incense/etc shop to finish up. (also meeting a friend there, and we're having lunch at the Mexican restaurant next door.) right now I'm reading another Nora Roberts book, but then it will be time to start my annual reading of Susan Cooper's The Dark Is Rising series. Dresden is curled up next to me,purring, and sends snuggles to you, and to Bessie. I'm sending Bessie lots of ear rubs. take care, keep warm, and hugs! xoxo 🎄❤️

I think we got to around -15 or so over night which isn’t bad in itself but we were at  3 and within about 1/2 an hour, it dropped to that. That’s harsh! I haven’t brushed my hair either, I put it in a braid then pinned it up with a barrette. I’ll brush it later. I vacuumed and washed the floors, stripped and remade the bed, and tidied the kitchen. I’m going to go outside and find my metal bucket and burn my cardboard, the ashes are good to add to the dust baths for the chickens.
I sure hope you get some warmer weather! Put those sandals back on for me! Lol!
