Good morning Linda. A beautiful sunny morning here. It’s 9 degrees now, going up to 17 and no rain forecast. Just watched Emmerdale and Corrie…it’s just a habit now..totally unbelievable but something to watch while having breakfast. The veterans always pull at the heartstrings don’t they? I always think of my dad when seeing them, now so frail and so frail. My dad was in the navy and never really spoke much about the war. Perhaps because we were all girls. I think a lot of them were like that, didn’t want to speak about what they saw. They were all so young weren’t they? I can’t see any of today’s young men rushing to sign up. I haven’t got any plans for today, I’ll see how I feel later but if I do go out, it won’t be far. A lunch out with a friend, something to look forward to …I’m with you on the fish and chips, you know what you’re getting. Mark and Nic were in Liverpool on Sunday and had a roast dinner sharer….it looked lovely and huge but quite entitled to be for £75! I would have wanted the full cow for that price 😂 He said it was lovely, I said ask for a ‘doggy bag’ 😂 I hear stirrings from upstairs, his lordship is getting up. I’d better go and put the kettle on. Have a goo
