Thank you for the Lion and the birthstone, Sue! Yes, our Lake and being in the North Eastern US really dictate how our Winters are going to be. Believe it or not, prior to the 80's our Winters were even worse. But the warmer temps started here in the mid 1980's and 1990's. 2018-2023 our Winters were really mild and last year (2024) I said I should have kept my mouth shut when I said we were going to pay for it at some point and last year believe me I was kicking myself in the butt for having said anything. lol

We missed the storm here, just very breezy. Bad further north though x

It will be a few months yet before we get "brrrr" here. lol But boy when we get it here we get it good. Last Winter was the most snow we've had since 2017. I hope we don't have a repeat this year but chances are we will. We had a good and hot Summer here which means the Lake is really warm and the longer the Lake stays more the more we get dumped on with the wet, heavy Lake Effect Snow. Had to pay a plow service because my Snow Blower would have been useless and it's a pretty big one.
