Hi, Carole.  TY for the Mallard.  Thanksgiving came off without a hitch.  We were discussing the history of the stuffing too.  I imagine it has been a family recipe for many generations.  My mother & her mother definitely & seeing how much my grandmother's sister enjoyed it (although she didn't cook it), I imagine my great-grandmother as well.  Louisiana still had a lot of oysters back then, although most of the time, mine come from the the NW.
