Hi Marianne,  hope your home relaxing now. The couple that came didn't like the the table,  I have another lady coming tomorrow,  I think shes greek. 
I sometimes get hot overnight too, I take the doona off then wait till I cool down.
With the dishwasher,  they have feet which can be adjusted,  worse case scenario,  i get a new to fit.
