hi alice very true, average wages now will never be enough for cost of living, which makes people work overtime and they brought retirement age  to 67 here in uk used to be 60, this governement here is hoping we work til we drop then dont have to pay us pension which we hav epaid into all these years, i have alittle provate pension which i could live off fr about 2 years  before i get state pension, so maybe i could retire in 4 years xx
