Hi Judi
  This morning I went for a walk which wasn't too bad out there, I wasn't sure about the other 2 walks which are at 8:00PM & 11:00, sometimes 11:30PM tops, went for my walk thinking nah I don't need my scarf tonight, went again at 8 & holy cow walking back my cheeks were just a cold, I've walked faster thought I was going to get froze bites on my face, didn't think it was going to be that cold so yeah, I'm not going again at 11:30, going to stay in were it's warm, I sure hope it's not gonna be this cold again tomorrow, I sure would have loved to go for my last night walk, love the fresh air but not the cold....brrr.
It's a good thing you've went & got some groceries, making home made soup is the best for keeping warm, I love having my hot chocolate morning or night, sometimes both.
Glad to hear the fur babies are doing okay in this weather, they probably cuddle up beside each other, I know their in the best of hands. :)

well, our winter storm will be here today. they've already cancelled schools. I am hoping to get a walk in before it hits. not ready. I hate severe weather, hot or cold. just hope the power stays  on and the water doesn't freeze. will leave it dripping. your food sounds good. I saw a recipe for crockpot potato soup that uses frozen hash browns and it sounded so good, so I will make it tomorrow or Sunday. should be good on a cold day. stay warm and safe. hugs.
