Some of my regular FL neighbors show up, but not many, is it because they aren't playing yer? How to invite them?

You can read that in the game. One friend per day and 'only' 100 friends in total.

Sorry, but I don't remember exactly WHERE in the game I read it - I click on anything to figure out how to, plus writing in there with friends ;)

it's incredibly fast-paced. I've stated elsewhere how my main feeling is one of sadness... that so many wildlife are being missed in my garden ... the majority of it is being missed ... but the upside of that is that's incredibly easy to go out hunting and build up stocks of mushrooms for deterring things, and top up on plants (the hunting quests give you these things)...

and yes, you can only send out one 'neighbour' request per 20 hours, and it can take quite some time for them to be accepted... your facebook friends show up, if you and they have given the new game app permission to use your friends lists. to find them, click on the panel with your own name on it, just above the habitat...

I think we just have to see it as completely different to FL.   Wildlife visits aren't the same - something shows up every few minutes for 24 hours on one plant - so it isn't necessarily too much of a problem when some of them go missed.  There are hundreds of visits over the life of the plant, some of them are bound to be missed.
