Curiosity got the better of me, here is the collective noun for a group of fairies, I am not sure I like it, what do you think and do you have any better suggestions?

I would like "A flutter of fairies"

here goes:

The collective noun for fairy is herd. A herd of fairies.

A collective noun for 'mystical fairies' is a 'Frollick of fairies'.

A frolick of fairies is quite fun.  But a herd?!

More suitable to a bunch of clod-hopping elephants!

I like "a flutter of fairies".  Much more appropriate.

Hmmm, "herd of fairies" doesn't sound right.

If the forums are anything to go by, how about a "squabble of fairies"?

*snort*

Although there are endless possibilities there ...

An argument of fairies.
A bicker of fairies
A quarrel of fairies
A tiff of fairies
A scrap of fairies

I don't understand the subtle differences with many of these words, but even I can tell that "herd" sounds wrong. Isn't there a herd of bulls?  Surely nothing so ungracious could be suitable for fairies! (Thinking of nice little faeries here, not the good old nasty type) =)
