10 min alert took over 10 minutes

Is this part of the new changes that when the alert is on, the critter can then take more than the alert time to arrive? I just spotted a 10 minutes alert for Red Panda and stalked and it took few seconds over 10 minutes after my first sprinkle until the RP arrived. Is it now so that the staying time isn't included in the alert time? That with 10 min alert it can take for example for RP max 12 minutes to arrive?

Watered first time 10min3sec ago and RP arrived 0 seconds ago and it was spotted after 4 seconds. So I guess if the alert had started 1 second before I watered and RP was programmed to stay, ummm, 1 second?, it can fit inside the 10 minute alert?

That's likely to be the case, yes.

I'm really bad at math :D
I'd just like to know if I should pace my watering differently and keep in mind it can really take the whole 10 minutes so that I don't expect "stays 2 minutes or less" critter to arrive usually at 8-9 minutes like before or was that some kind of weir anomaly.

Actually it had to be programmed to stay at least the 4 minutes it stayed before I spotted it... Oh my, this is too difficult for me, haha

whoops, *4 seconds

Shouldn't the critter leave if it wasn't spotted inside the alert time? So it shouldn't exceed alert time like that, or at least didn't before....
Ok, I'll keep in mind it can really take the whole alert time and even few second over.

The alert is the time until the critter arrives, so how long it stays for isn’t relevant in this case. And in your case, you were just unlucky that the critter arrived in the last second of the alert. If you do the maths, it just works out, so nothing wrong at all.

But info about alert time says: "...In every Garden, you can see the maximum possible alert time displayed. If you are then lucky enough to see an alert in that Garden, you will know that the wildlife will be coming _within_ that time (and usually well within it!)"
So critters should arrive within the alert time.
I've played over 12 years now and never before have had a critter arrive _after_ the alert time has completely run out.

I had maybe few days ago similar experience, that time the critter arrived maybe 10-15 seconds before the alert time run out. That was already weird, but this time it actually went over the alert time. But at least now I know this can happen, so I know how to pace my watering near alert's ends now.
