I still cannot get my head round the food times 💁Anyone else the same ?

I'm experiencing the same thing. I'm finding it a lot harder to spot critters, unless it's the rare SF garden. Does anyone have a ballpark guide to organic and regular food times? It seems both are way over three hours, maybe 3.5-4 for organic and at least 4 hours for regular food? First plates are different and may be a bit faster for organic, slower for regular.

Sorry, meant 2.5-3 for organic and 3-4 for regular?

I am having the same issue.  And lots of mice!!

I don't think Mike said he'd intended to make things harder, did he?  He made the first feed on regular go for longer, to discourage plate dumping, but otherwise he's posted several times that he's tweaked the times to make them more like the old organic was.

I've seen new regular go for just over 3 hours 30 on first feeds, and after that the maximum seems to be a little over 6 hours.  It's jsut as likely to go for 2 - 3 hours, though.  New organic is faster, the first feeds aren't far off what they used to be on the old organic food.

There are no guaranteed maximum times though, other than the times that each plate can last for:

Regular is 5 feeds in 18 hours, double is 10 feeds in 36 hours, triple is 15 feeds in 54 hours.
Organic Food is 5 feeds in 12 hours, double is 10 feeds in 24 hours, triple is 15 feeds in 36 hours.
Superfood is 20 feeds into 24 hours

The timing glitches with the new food should actually have been fixed already (a good few days ago now)

New Regular should be similar to old Organic (with the same maximum time between visits 6 hours) - the only difference is that the first feed takes longer than the old Organic used to, to prevent plate dumping.

New Organic and new Superfood should simply be faster than they were before.

If you are finding this not to be the case, please could you provide links to example gardens so I can check? There's a chance they may just have been frozen and have very old food out (from before the changes) but it's also possible there could still be a glitch I need to fix
