So, my Violet Butterpillaflora is due to be RFH in 4 hours, then I will be on the final stage and will finally get the rainbow plant.  Currently I just have worms visiting but my supershroom is now RFH - what do I replace it with?  Another Supershroom or a different mushroom for the Rainbow Butterfly?  I've browsed gardens and there is a mixture but I'm not sure what to do.  Other conundrum, I have recently achieved Legendary VII so I have finally got the Rainbow Unicorn which is sat there waiting to make its debut - do I combine the two?  Oh decisions decisions!

You don't need a mushroom for the butterflies, although it can help to deter the mice.

You could plant up the rainbow mushroom and attract the butterfly if you wanted to.  It won't attract the unicorn until it's RTH and it would attract some dragons to the food, but it would help to deter some of the mice.

It's entirely up to you. Personally I wouldn't waste supershroom seeds on butterflies, as I really only like to use a supershroom where it is needed. But if you have plenty of seeds and want to, there's no harm. Enchanted mushrooms tend to attract a lot of dragons so that might be a lot of competition for the butterfly.

I always stuck to a Pink Cap while doing butterflies and found that worked really well. But it really is just a matter of what you prefer (and if you don't like the results you get you can always change the mushroom).

And indeed, you don't even really need a mushroom for the butterflies - you could try without one at all.

Thank you for your help, I think sometimes I get too bogged down with details! I won't plant a supershroom as I agree, I would prefer to keep those for when they are really needed.  I think I'll plant the rainbow mushroom so at least it will keep the mice away! :)
