Luckily there's an Are You Sure, even if you have your preferences set to Less Notifications, so you'd have to be really ham-fisted to discard it! I dare say you're not the only one to come close to doing so, though.

I managed to accidentally discard one last year when I was halfway through the calendar, (more than half asleep and dusting a plant next to it) I now make sure it's by itself to one side. Unfortunately, it's one thing the very helpful Support Team can't replace :(

That's why I keep mine on the left of the garden. This is because I'm bleary eyed and on my phone first thing in the morning, and right handed. So anything I'd regret stabbing goes to the left of screen.
