underwater toadstool seeds??

Karen and ::Wildwood TFC: ˜☆ 5 years, 2 months ago

I'm able to do level IV quests currently but I can't complete the level 2 quest called "Gone Fishing" because it seems to be very difficult to find underwater toadstool seeds.  Does anyone have any tips to find them? I check gardens that are attracting them but rarely find enough to obtain a seed.

Has anyone suggested this to the moderator/developer?

Thank you for any suggestions.

It's often suggested that seeds be made "easier" to obtain with those in support of the suggestion generally pointing to a lack of appropriate gardens while others generally point out that challenge wildlife often goes missed and garden owners end up spotting their own, so the wildlife *is* out there.  It only takes a few well set gardens to be able to spot plenty of wildlife. :)

My advice is to go through the pond section of the wildlife guide and bookmark the gardens of those which are currently setup, no matter what pond wildlife they are attracting.  Then, visit regularly and stalk when a plate is coming due.  I did this with a mixture of fairytale and uw gardens and found about 8 FT and 6 UW seeds in just a few weeks.  In fact, I've found a lot of the challenge gardens to be very quiet because others have been hunting the winter wildlife instead.

Oh, and you can also visit the gardens of those who are also visiting the uw gardens.  You'll find many of those to be setup with uw critters, as well. :)

If you spend your time focusing on just the water gardens, you will be amazed how quickly the seeds will come.  I felt the same as you last spring and by August I had a whopping 40 underwater seeds.  Also a good time to hunt water seeds is when the underwater leprechaun visits in March.

You can do level 2 gone fishing without actually going underwater. I did mine with the star constellation Pisces (Feb 18 - Mar 20) and attracted "Fish" :)

Sorry everyone for my delayed response to your helpful information. I think I had forgotten that I posted this.
I agree that spending more time focusing on the water gardens would be helpful. I just seem to get discouraged pretty quickly and there is a lot of competition to find them. Thank you Rachel, Angel, and Roxanne!
P.S. I had no idea that the Pisces fish could be considered for the quest! Guess I should go look at it again.
Thank you!!

Karen, it’s always useful to check the quest before activating to see which wildlife count. )
