Hi Mike, Thanks for all you are doing. Just noticed however that the halloweenie pots are the same :-( so I am asking please can the Christmas Calendar be new pots, and if you could do a partridge in a pear tree that would be amazing.  No pressure ;-) for you ha ha ha x

So far, the Holiday Calendar pots have been different every year, expect a few pots (the crystal ball pot and 1-2 others).

As for what we are getting, I'm hoping it's different/unique/fun. And a partridge in a pear tree would be cool.

Yes I’m very much up for a Partridge in a Pear Tree with all the Twelve Days of Christmas included, possibly.
Maybe we could spot 12 Maids a Milking and get a 5 Gold Ring Pot etc etc?

Well eventually I had to google this now.... I had been wondering from time to time: why a partridge - and then in a pear tree? I don´t think that´s their natural habitat, but hey ho....

but now with mentioning the milking maids and golden rings it made me more curious....
Aha - I had no idea... so it´s simply an english christmas song? Funny :)

I always think that the song must be very old, because of the nature of the gifts and also the size of the gifts must have meant that the True Love was very wealthy!
Just imagine receiving 10 Drummers as a gift for instance! LOL

I've known the song my whole life and have never thought about it too much. But I found this history of it:

Aah, so that is where the tradition of taking down the Christmas decorations and the Christmas tree comes from!
Twelve Days of Christmas or Twelvetide or Christmastide is a Christian Celebration beginning on 25th December and ending on 5th January, to celebrate the Nativity.
I wonder if it goes back further than this in history and connects to another festival too?
I know that the Winter Solstice is on 21st December.

Love this suggestion!! A partridge in a pear tree and the other animals from the song, what were they? 3 golden hens?

11 pipers piping

7 swans a-swimming

5 goooooooold riiiiiiiiiings
4 calling birds
