Thanks Bev; yes the pictures were horrifying; if the bay near my house had overflowed like in 2012 you would have seen my street looking like that too. Not a great weekend though; just came from my brother-in-law's funeral. He was the eldest of my husband's six siblings and now there is only one brother left.

Thanks for asking Bev; we were okay because the bay didn't overflow like when we had Hurricane Sandy; the rain was unbelievable though; lots of other areas did flood and sadly 13 people have died to to drowning in basement apartments and one died in his car. The subways had water pouring in to them so underground transit was pretty much shut down. Frightening experience.....

Thanks Bev; I am feeling better but still very tired. The heatwave is supposed t break today but right now it's still very hot and it's just a little after 7. I am glad you were able to get out; Sometimes just a little thing like going for coffee can be uplifting during times like these. Let's pray the temps stay within normal range for the rest of the summer.

We stay inside for the most part when the heat is excessive like it is now.  I mostly worry about Randy & going out to do his business on hot artificial grass.  I touched it today & it was really, really hot.  We keep our air conditioner on 79-80 and it's comfortable.  Have ceiling fans in all the rooms, too.  We've been out here for 9 years now...and are pretty used to the summers.  The humidity level yesterday was 4%.  ;)  xxx
