Hi Cath, it's a holiday weekend here as well. It's Memorial Day- I'm not sure if that is the same as your Remembrance Day? Our Memorial Day is for the deceased military and then in November we have Veterans Day which is for surviving veterans. This is also our 250th anniversary, so there will be stuff going on all year. This weekend Benihana is having a free meal for veterans, so I'm going with Mary, my BFF, she was a paratrooper in the Army back in the day. I don't know if you have Benihana in the UK - it's a teppanyaki restaurant - where you sit with a group and they slice/dice/cook the food in front of you. Glad you are having lovely weather!
