is this correct?

I had 2 nests out, 1 incomplete no wren had made a part of it
1 complete wren helped build it
incomplete nest was on the left
wren was spotted and nested in the completed nest on the right and did not give part on the left one.
I though the left one always took priority?

only if both are complete does left take priority
otherwise nesting takes priority :-)

I heard both that the one on the left takes priority and I've heard that it will always nest first, if there's an available nest.  Haven't confirmed or denied either possibility myself though.

I think Karen is right Ange - I saw a post earlier about this and was the same situation...

I  have also seen somebody say they had a nest available for a bird, and another nest to which it hadn't yet contributed, and it decided to contribute.  If that was a tenth bird, and I'm fairly sure I checked that it was, it means all bets are off.
