On my last shroom and rubies - had no Red pillars appear on ordinary food when cake was introduced - used 2 shrooms up to try to finish a Quest - many fairies thought it a glitch.

On my last Shroom now - I've had 2 Indigo plants the whole time, used up last rubies to have 3.  Have had 21 Minty Greens, 18 Prickly Orange and 20 Birthday Reds - not ONE Lazy Indigo!!!
Mostly cake but ordinary food also - what am I doing wrong?

Ruth, I think this is a perfect set up and a very frustrating run of bad luck... sorry...

Thanks for the quick response but thought it was a run of bad luck before I planted the 3rd Indigo plant, 10 hours and 20 'other' pillars later was my 'hopeful' from now on and still no LICs. No shroom seeds left as I wasted 2 shrooms on a previous 'glitch'. There's something not right here.

I need everyone to see this in case this is also happening to those who don't advertise in the Wildlife Guide.  It's not a frustrating run of bad luck - something is wrong.  After 80 caterpillars not one Indigo when you have 3 indigo plants is not right.  I removed the cake and tried ordinary food and one appeared - I then thought another would on the cake as they come in 2s or 3s, again tons more Minty & Orange, a few BD Reds. I then removed the ordinary  food and got another plate of cake and again more Orange/Minty's not one indigo again on 3 more plates of cake - I kept removing them and re-hunting for fresh cake so the time would be less - a lot of gold & time. 
I noticed that (the post that isn't here for some reason) that only one other advertised garden was attracting LICS without a Rainbow plant.  She had 1 indigo plant only and lots of Indigos more than the Orange/Minty's.  What I realised was it was ordinary food not cake.  I then removed the cake and put ordinary Superfood and the Indigos are appearing on that - still none on the cake.

It's partly because of the fact that the caterpillars get rarer as you go through the colours - the higher the colour, the harder they are to get.   The orange and green come more easily because they're less rare than the indigo.

Frustrating, I know, but it's normal.

I haven't seen any problems with LIC on cake but if you think the devs need to look at it, you'd need to use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page to ask them to check it out - they won't see your post here :)

I would think it´s worth a report to FL support, Ruth. You could use the "contact us" button at the bottom of the page - I think they should look into it to see whether something is wrong with the programming

I have seen them appearing on cake  with a Rainbow plant - but maybe there´s something wrong where the "regular" LIC set up is used.

Tracey I get higher up Caterpillars are rarer, but I have 3 Indigo plants and the fairy that is getting lots only has one. Out of over 80 Caterpillars spotted, to not have a single LIC is not right. It seems they only appear on cake if you have a Rainbow plant. Thanks Angelika, I'll do that. Any idea why this thread isn't coming up in the forums? Like I said only one other fairy is attracting LIC without a Rainbow plant but not using cake, would be interesting to see if there are others with the same issue.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say it "isn't coming up"? The thread is perfectly visible in the forums - it is currently the top thread in the Please Check My Garden section.
