With any new challenge being deferred till later this year, I thought this is a good time to start an event to complete the topiary calculator!
At the moment we have data to match /predict almost 50% of the trails on the violet level. Progress however is slow...
If we could get about 50 (maybe even 100?) different people to commit on doing one more violet topiary trail, i.e. one that is currently without a match or prediction, that would boost the results a bit (50 trails cover at least 4%, but on average I would expect about 8%).
I created a spreadsheet where people can sign up:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12nVX3EOx3TCAflj6IwJ9RWyhRPu6S_HbVJG8buDSssU/edit#gid=0
It will show which data we are still looking for (you can enter garden id and pot id), and if there is no match/prediction on the violet level yet, you could leave your garden id to join the event (the list will prevent multiple people starting the same trail).
It should be self-explanatory where to put your input (and don't worry, most of the sheet is write-protected anyway).
I know many people have extra pots in storage for different first critters, please check those out!
Please note: gardens having an ID ending with 0 or 00 can only help in a very limited number of cases, please contact me or Bram first to explain how to get a suitable pot to prevent wasting your pink diamonds. IDs ending with 000 cannot help at all unfortunally.
Please note that the trails do not have to be completed up till the very last unicorn. As soon as the positions of the missing critters (i.e. compared to a one-level-down match/prediction) are identified, one could stop.
And with a greenhouse around, you could easily take a break :)
Of course it is always possible to dump it completely if you can't stand them any longer, we are just happy with anything we can get (multiple partial trails can create a full trail).
FYI: Today I also started on "guessing" all missing data. That is a manual job, it concerns interpretation of all the data we already have, to extrapolate it. I am halfway through... When ready, Bram will build an interface to show the guesses in the calculator too (with some disclaimer as the results should come close, but cannot be garanteed). In the meantime feel free to ask for any guess on my backwall.
Thanks for reading. Hope many will join.
