sprinkled diamond dust and nothing happened!!!

I sprinkled Diamond Dust on the Aureus Primus which is supposed to half the remaining time until it is fully grown.
But that did not happen.  Is it a malfunction, or what.

I ask also because another game I play regularly has been "cheating" a lot.  The first thing that comes to mind is "the cloud" - meaning, that caching, whenever and whereever it occurs, creates delay problems which prevent where immediate real-time updates as needed.  This happens nearly universally on all websites to some extent (worse on the websites with a lot of advertising which "the could" where admittedly the could gives priority bandwidth.  It happens as much with comparatively slow and fast connection speeds which indicates that caching creates information bottlenecks.  Does anyone have insight to share about this?

What did the diamond dust do, if it did not half the time to "fully grown"?  I ask because the timing on your plants seems correct to me.  The key lies in remembering that it does only half the time to "fully grown" -- which, for the aureus plants, is 5 days -- and not the entire time that the plant takes to grow.  One sprinkling of diamond dust would knock 2.5 days growth from either aureus plant.

(Further sprinklings would, of course, continue to halve the time to "fully grown"...so, the second sprinkle would knock off 1.25 days, etc..  The most diamond dusting will reduce the full growth by is 5 days, as that's how long it takes to become "fully grown".)

Thanks for responding. Rachel.  It changed from 2% fully grown to 4%. Foolishly, I tried to do it again, and it changed to 7% fully grown.  I'm no mathematician, but it seems to me cutting the time in half would result in 50% fully grown - leaving 2.5 days, the second time would have been 75% grown 1.25 days remaining!

The percentage is the time to "ready for harvest" -- not "fully grown".  So, since the percentage of time that it's "fully grown" is so small, the percentage is only going to change by a small amount.

The aureus primus, for example, takes 50 days to become RFH (100%) but only 5 days to become "fully grown" (10%) -- that means each sprinkle of diamond dust will change the percentage by just a few percent, at most -- just as it did. :)

(In other words, the plant will become "fully grown" at 10%; so, when you are sprinkling diamond dust, you are only halving the time it takes to reach 10% -- not 100%.)

\ĺ⁄¸.❤️  Thank you so much, Rachel for explaining!  Didn't realize the percentage was "ready for harvest" rather than "fully grown".  ❤️
