I was doing the level 2 Black and White quest the other day, and discovered that, while albino moles count for white animals, ordinary moles are excluded!!

I cannot tell you how shocked I was! Poor moleys! Surely no other animal is as renowned for its blackness as the velvet-black mole???

why, Mike, why?? Do you hate these lovely, grumpy animals so much??

Today we stand up and say Equal Right For Moles! If they don't count as black, no animal should!

Oh yes, equal rights for moles!

When the black and white quest first came out, there were a TON of animals left off the list.  (It seemed to me that they used the list of critters which drop bamboo and didn't add in the other critters which are either black or white.)  There was a long thread about it and Mike even posted to say they were working on it and asking people to bring to their attention any critters which fit the criteria.  You might want to use the "contact us" link at the bottom of the page to send a message to Support.

(That being said, they may also be classing the mole as a grey critter...it does look dark grey to me.)

moles are renowned for their blackness - it's almost legendary :D

I've already reported it, Rachel, about a week ago.  It's still being left out in the cold.

I can't see why it wouldn't count though, given that it counts as black for the Panda.

@Tracey, It counts for the Panda?  I had no idea -- it's not listed with the other critters on the giant panda thread in the most useful topics and I wouldn't have thought it would count.  If it counts for the panda, it should definitely count for the black and white quest, though. Hmmmm.....
