Hi Evelyn, I'm not too bad thanks although I had some sad news last week. One of my clients passed away. She had dementia and since the begining of the year she had got a lot worse. I've looked after dementia clients before but had never seen someone as bad as she had become. Very emotional and very confused. I came home one day after doing her care and burst into tears, it was hard not to break down doing her call. All I could do is try to comfort her. She had gone into hospital while I was on holiday last month and she was due to go into a nursing home as she needed 24 hour care. Her daughter told me that she had brightened up a bit and was more cheerful than she had been. She started to decline over a week ago and developed pneumonia. Her family were told that there was nothing they could do except make her comfortable and she passed last Friday. I had been her carer for quite a few years. It never gets any easier. I hope you and Colin are well x

Hi Evelyn, how are you? Did Ellie enjoy her sleep-over? Do they have pets or is it an opportunity for her to play with yours?  We had Emma and the girls over a couple of times but it's hard for her as she's used all of her holidays so is having to work from home. Lckily they are old enough to entertain themselves although it's better if they are at a holiday club.  Zoe has been enjoying her club but Amber is more into dance and drama than sport so she didn't want to go with Zoe. To be honest, they are so much easier seperately - no squabbles! Amber does like to play the big sister and Zoe isn't having any of it.

Charlie wants to do games design at uni. This year there are a few uni's doing the course he wants and possibly next year there may be more.  He liked Canterbury but as that's the only one we have been to so far, he has nothing to compare it to. There is one locally where he could live at home but I think he wants the uni experience (if we can afford it).
Next Saturday there's an open day at Southampton so we will try to get there. It's about 100 miles round the M25 then down the M3.
Have you seen the baby again, aren't they lovely when they are tiny!
Just had a call from Graham's son Richard. He and his wife are going to pay us a visit this afternoon so I had better get myself motivated xx
