A Moment of Silence Please
A moment of silence should come from all;
A poppy to remember those who did fall;
You'll hear the bugle play;
Near the 11th hour that day;
Please take time the 11th of November;
To give our thanks as we remember;
Also the troops that still fight brave;
All for the country they are trying to say;
Men and women do still fall;
So I say God bless them one and all.

Remembrance Day
The bugles play, the names are read;
On this day we bow our heads;
As they say the names of the dead;
They fought hard so we can live our life free;
Sadly though it's not being done;
Troops are still fighting at some;
So let us give thanks to them all;
Those fighting now and those that did fall;
On this eleventh of November;
We bow our head and Remember.

In 1941
My Father in the army was;
Mother cooked for the soldiers at sea;
They both served in the war because;
They wanted us to be able to stay free;
In 1941 they decided to wed;
The Army and Navy came to see
them say their vows they said,
A happy break from complete insanity;
The war was such a horrid cost;
So many innocent lives were lost;
by the time the war was won;
Many had lost Father, Husband and Son;
And so a poppy we now wear;
Each November to show we care;
Those of us that share the pain;
Pray that it never happens again..
